چکیده

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has revolutionized businesses by changing the way data are used to make products and services more efficient, reliable, profitable. To achieve improvement goals, IIoT must guarantee real-time performance industrial applications such as motion control, providing stringent quality service (QoS) assurances for their (industrial applications) communication networks. An application or may malfunction without adequate network QoS, resulting in potential product failures. Since an acceptable end-to-end delay low jitter packet variation (PDV) closely related (QoS), impact is significant ensuring applications. Although a topology ensures certain levels, its real-life affected dynamic traffic due number devices, services, present network. Hence, it essential study experienced presence background how can be maintained within limits ensure level QoS. This paper presents probabilistic calculus approach that uses moment-generating functions analyze PDV incurred flows interest wired switched multi-stage presented work derives closed-form, end-to-end, bounds several servers series traffic. analysis conducted with help Markovian model showed parameters from significantly under controlling shape For studied configurations, change bound 1 ms 100 ms. results indicated possibility using shaper Thus, beneficial QoS

Delay analysis of two-hop network-coded delay-tolerant networks

In this paper, we study the block delivery delay of random linear network coding in two-hop single-unicast delay-tolerant networks with grid-based mobility. By block delivery delay, we mean how long it takes the destination to receive all the K information packets of a single block. Our work includes two parts. First, we give a general analysis of the dependency between packet spaces spanned by...

Challenges: Application of Network Calculus to Wireless Multi-hop Networks

New wireless Internet applications such as telephony and video have forced the introduction of Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technologies (802.16 and 802.11s) that provide high reliability and guaranteed access to the wireless channel. While the wireless network technology is providing deterministic end-to-end service, the analysis tools have not matched the new technological development...

A Network Calculus Approach for the Analysis of Multi-Hop Fading Channels

A fundamental problem for the delay and backlog analysis across multi-hop paths in wireless networks is how to account for the random properties of the wireless channel. Since the usual statistical models for radio signals in a propagation environment do not lend themselves easily to a description of the available service rate, the performance analysis of wireless networks has resorted to highe...

A Hidden Node Aware Network Allocation Vector Management System for Multi-hop Wireless Ad hoc Networks

Many performance evaluations for IEEE 802.11distributed coordination function (DCF) have been previouslyreported in the literature. Some of them have clearly indicatedthat 802.11 MAC protocol has poor performance in multi-hopwireless ad hoc networks due to exposed and hidden nodeproblems. Although RTS/CTS transmission scheme mitigatesthese phenomena, it has not been successful in thoroughlyomit...

Stochastic Network Calculus for End-to-end Delay Evaluation of Avionics Multi-hop Virtual Links

The VL (Virtual Link) concept used by AFDX network of modern aircraft such as A380 represents a big assumption for input flows characteristics. But mapping of many VL on a multi switch Ethernet architecture lead to potential congestion on a port of a (given) switch. Thus, there is strong need to prove that no frame will be lost by the network (no switch queue will overflow) and to evaluate the ...
